Well i'm not just gonna Win by default :P that's just scr..ing up the challenge lol, i like a challenge I just can't see the solution just yet, the fact you have the dark ritual and demonic tutor makes you think you need to fetch something from your deck... but what lol, atleast I know now i need to leave the mountain thing alone and focus on the protection from red part :P, It really is a brainbuster though, good job ^_^.

If I find any future typo's i'll be sure to report them ofcourse :)

Greetz,

Saint.

*Edit: Haha it's so obvious, I can't see how I could have missed this one, it's kind of easy you just have to get the little puzzle :P. Good one ^_^

Well i'm having the same problem as belux with the Visions quest, somehow the code doesen't work on PSP, i tried all options he did aswell and my Wagic is totally unmodded (all modding and changes i make i do on the PC version).
So there must be a fault in the code, what should the win conditions be? Could you PM me so i can test it.

A total side note for your next release of this you could put in hints on the defeat screen because the storyline makes it unclear for players what to exactly do, in each game.

Btw another spelling error, it should say Unconcious not Inconsious :P.

Other side note, this is DEFINATLY not for newbie magic players haha they woulden't pass the first one :P

Saint.

Hi,

Just update with 10 new chapters... and some nice new challenges, as usual all following the flavor/story of the campaign... I will be in holliday from next friday... and you will not see me for at least 3 weeks... I'm not sure I will have the time to finish this campaign completly but I will do my best.

I corrected some typo, I've redid some of the layout of some dialog pages as well as added some graphics, including some avatars for most of the duels...

Gemstone Array has a bug so you need to correct it before you can solve the last challenge of chapter 25.

Here is the corrected code for this card.

Code: Select all

[card]
name=Gemstone Array
auto={2}:counter(0/0,1,Charge)
auto={C(0/0,-1,Charge)}:add{W}
auto={C(0/0,-1,Charge)}:add{U}
auto={C(0/0,-1,Charge)}:add{B}
auto={C(0/0,-1,Charge)}:add{R}
auto={C(0/0,-1,Charge)}:add{G}
text={2}: Put a charge counter on Gemstone Array. -- Remove a charge counter from Gemstone Array: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool.
mana={4}
type=Artifact
[/card]

Well you can open the "rules.txt" in the "duel_machines" folder... this one should be very easy... you just need to survive

Not sure... that would be too easy... :twisted: Ah Ah Ah (that's an evil laugh....)

The first one is really a matter of "luck".... but I agree I wanted real challenge... so that's not for magic nor wagic newbies....

Yeah i opened the rules and basicly putting a weakstone into play makes you survive with one life then it should be auto victory but it doesen't work on the PSP verion... *sigh*

Well i just changed the dat file with s Brothers Wars=machines_win , i know i won anyways the engine just didn't pick it up, you'll have to look into it though (i tryed a few things myself code wise but it didn't work either) the win conditions aren't triggered on the PSP version.

I'm at chapter 26 now, found a few spelling errors in the chapters but i'll read the whole thing once i finished everrything and report them to you, a few thingies though, there was one chapter with the opponent playing a shatter on one of your random 4 artifacts (Puppet strings, (card names i don't remember) the 3 mana tap card, the untap artifact card and your might stone), the only win condition i could find was him randomly playing shatter on your might stone (wich doesen't happen everytime) and it says you failed afterwards but you do continue playing, a couple chapters further you come to the battle with the Mox Pearl etc. wich goes a little Mormir all of a sudden, you use your Mox and it changes into another card, you call back your enchantment and it turns into something totally different idk i coulden't find a clear feel on what the point was of this.

Well mostly fun so far though :P is the story complete though? cuz i get the feeling i'm missing parts lol.

Is think that's because you are not suppose to win this duel... the opponent is winning....You don't realize because the wincondition doesn't tell you who win the challenge....That's not the only challenge that you are not suppose to win by the way... there is at least 3 of them (well there is one where you need to choose between sarinth and tomakul so it vary between 2 and 3)....

Well this part is not well explained, but if you remember correctly during the battle of Zegon, Ashnod is carrying a staff... the staff of Zegon, that has the ability of weakening an opponent creature (that should be explained once you win this challenge with tawnos)... There is passage missing from the book... when Ashnod is held captive at Kroog castle, tawnos sees how she "reconstruct" her staff with a skull and some power-gem... the challenge is basically an attemps at "recreating" the way tawnos is escaping... the pearl-mox is the "earring" from ashnod (that was the most closest card)... when you use it it is to extract the "power gem" in it...... then I needed a way of materializing the staff once you get all the elements to construct the staff... I wanted to use the "oubliette" card from arabian nights, because ashnod is supposed to be in an oubliette... but this card is not coded... so I just found a substitue.. The whole Idea was that when you re-create the staff you can escape the oubliette...

My ultimate goal would be to give the player some "card" reward with some explanation... the staff of zegon would be one of them...That would allow me to bring a little bit more explanation about some artifacts....

The story is not yet complete there is 35 chapters, so wait for the last 9 one to get the big final... I'm currently finishing part 29... when that's done the 3 first part will be done... the last part (part 4) is the big final in 5 chapters... followed by an epilogue...

grü

Abra

EDIT: Just posted an updated linkg up to chapter 29... not so much additions in terms of challenge yet...

Downloading now, I'll start playing this on my way to work :)
Abrasax, don't hesitate to contact me directly for the improvements you need to be added in the code. I'll try to gather a list of requirements from the forums, but I'm getting dragged away by all my current coding projects.

Hey Abra I loved your magic-story-based-campaign (lol big name) I googled the history of wagic some weeks after getting wagic there's a lot of stories out there !!!But let's go to the subject in fact;
------>Could you help me edit my "Gemstone Array" card I don't know how to do it ...
------->Can you tell to me all the sets images that I have to download to have a full "picturized" experience ?
------>I disagree with the guy that said that this was only for professionals I myself meet magic at wagic and could manage to chapter 10 with no problems yet.

Best regards, Gus. (from Brazil,forgive my bad english ahuahuauha)

Haha, defeating the Roc was simply :o , it took me maybe 5 or 6 tries, I was like "ok, so there I cast the dark ritual, then get a animate dead and...dang, out of mana!!!"
I was all excited playing this on the train this morning, and I'm only to chapter 10. That's a great campaign! (too bad it has coprighted stuff in there, otherwise I would have made it the default campaign for Wagic 0.13)
