Calibrating analog ?

Post by ali_ihsan21 »

I read that this method is working on multiple forums but Im wondering if its a urban legend because neither on my GOs nor phat PSP I dont see a loading circle even when Im on OFW.
if you want to calibrate your analog stick, works on any psp, go to settings/system settings/system infomation, then turn your analog stick in a circular motion, this will calibrate the stick, if you look at the right bottom of your psp while doing this, you will see the loading circle.

I just checked the manuel, there is a part for analog stick troubles and nothing like that mentioned. Manuel just saying to move the analog a few times in opposite direction when such a problem occurs which means on the scene/game where it happens, not under a certain menu of XMB.

If there is really such a solution its just for slims. I'll download a slim manuel and check it for that but dont have time for it atm. Maybe someone else who have the manuel can do it for us. Its at the back of the manuel at least for PSP-N1000.

All these analogs are the same plastics with different connection types I dont believe its true but still its all over the internet even on official Playstation forum.

One last thing, before changing the analog use a vacuum cleaner to pull the dirt stucked inside it placing it over the analog, I saw it on youtube and really it can work imo before opening or changing the hardware give it chance.

I suggest joysense. It does so much if that helps.

I read its tutorial but still dont understand how that plugin works. Cursor doesnt move all the time to a certain direction from time to that happens so how can it fix it ? How can it know whether its out of control or Im pulling the character :?

Still nobody replied about PSP-2000 manuel I made a long search but couldnt find it anywhere, there are manuels of GO and 1000. Actually I dont believe that there is such a mention in the manuel but still there will be a question till I check the manuel myself :D

Do you have the user manuel of your device, is there anything mentioned about this mysterious turning method while on system information menu ?

If nothing worked for you why did you suggest joysense ? :D Price of analog stick differing tremendously, at least in Istanbul one store say 5$ another one 19$ just experienced a few days ago. They're very cheap actually trying to fix is waste of time unless there is a really working and easy method which seems there is not.
