Coldbird may be wrong, or it should be possible to add the missing support directly in the HEN.
Anyway I'd like to know what exactly TOcean did.

Yes this is very interesting, I agree, I would like to know what TOcean did.
My Devices
Why do you care that I have a...
PSP 3000 4g that I bricked,
An iPod Touch 4g running a 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak,
A PS Vita on 2.02 OFW running TN-C for... UNO!
And a Fat PS3 running 4.30 Rogero?

I tried to do that in a PSP in 6.31 to 6.20 but it didn't work, when i load the update, it just shuts down
does this only works on 6.36?

I'm sorry, I don't really understand what to do here...
Should I put the downloaded EBOOT.PBP file from the first post onto my PSP to downgrade?
Or do I just run the Sukkiri exploit and run the 6.35 updater from the XMB?
(I'm kind of a noob at hacking PSP's...)

i have tested with my psp 1004 ta82
PSPGo 6.35->6.3x (including 6.35) - fail.

And Coldbird wrote
No you can’t downgrade. In fact this isn’t even a problem with 6.35 PRO, but with Sony.

Sony removed Updater Kernel Module Support for old Kernel Updaters in 6.35, so… once you go 6.35 – you don’t go back.

That’s it basically.
Hmm...

Davee
Sony, being as sneaky as they are decided to do a rather interesting move. As researched by Coyotebean, Sony started enforcing using a public key method of verifying KIRK data and removing the ability to load the old types of data. As they did this, firmware 6.30+ cannot decrypt the updater and the PRX inside and therefore cannot use the index.dat spoofing to downgrade.

This application does the simple job of rebooting into the updater with a PRX that allows the updater to decrypt. A PRX that uses the pspdecrypt source and index.dat spoofing, nothing fancy.
The best thing about this signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything worthwhile it's too late to stop reading it.
