And also why just MegaUpload? There is RapidShare, MediaFire, HotFile etc. They are still functioning the same, with 100's of zipped parts of pirated games or softwares. I just don't get the US Government's logic.

As I said before, its because taking down MegaUpload was a message, that if the biggest, most well known file host can be brought down, so can the rest, and in-case you missed it, many file hosts had a crackdown on files and users, and implemented new rules on sharing (such as accounts cannot be accessed except for the uploader, or barring US IPs from accessing them.)

Though naturally, enforcement on such a massive quantity of files is prone to laziness by file host operators (as well as disinterest due to lack of profitability or lack of liability in their region,) and files get missed.

I think it was all to just show off that yeah SOPA is a very big thing and you are gonna clean your site else you'll be in jail.

And also AFAIK no serious rules were applied to the above sharing services I mentioned.
