Vice City Stories is okay. It takes a long time to unlock the 2nd island, you could go on airplanes such as a biplane or seplane or even the Vice City Police Maverick, and you could go in water but you have a limit on how long you can stay in water, you can also get jet ski's and yacht's and speedboats. The sound track is impressive. However the main con of VCS is that the game laggs like hell and the framerate drops rapid, you will be loling that the fact that the framerate drops when you're not even on a vehical or shooting like a blind man.

Liberty City Stories is better, more vehicals except no aircrafts such as biplanes and the Mavrick Helicopter, and you can't go in water without modding or hacking the game itself. The main con is that the music won't really attract that many people. Most of the songs are underground except for the opera music like Paliachi.
The map of Liberty City is alot bigger and better. Expect escaping from the cops more challanging due to water and air restrictions.
Not only that you can save more than one car in a garage. Unlike Vice City Stories your cars no longer disapear, and expect fast and slick looking vehicals in your way (Thats if your the type of pesron that likes slick looking cars that are extreamly fast such as the Turismo)

Above all VCS is the best. Better story, better gameplay, better adhoc multiplayer, and best of a variety of cars that will make you wish that they put some of them in GTA 4. Not only that who doesn't like wandering around a city in there underwear, or rampaging people while wearing a Jason suit.

Since the HD remake of GTA III on the iOS, China Town Wars only belongs on the DS.

How is it not "really" a GTA game? What is it then, Barbies Design Studio?

Have you even played GTA 1, GTA 2 and/or GTA London? Because to me it seems you haven't.

GTA: Chinatown Wars pretty much reminds me of the great old PS One classic GTA's. 8-)

London 1969 is wqy befor CTW so i can compare it with each other

Your post doesn't answer the question "How is it not "really" a GTA game?"... :| Please explain the logic you used to come to that conclusion.

maybe you have the game compressed.. if you made a full clean rip of the game or downloaded it from PSN, it doesn't lag at all on default cpu speed..

I have the UMD Version of VCS. Even before PSN released the download version of VCS lagged like hell and the framerate drop like a speeding bullet. Not only that The story for VCS was very cliche. I mean Vance an army dude siging up for a Military opposition, to escape the past and only to serve his country and later betrayed by his Latin Leutenuit. Yeah very cliche. I like LCS better because you automatically start of with action right away. You start of working for an Itallian triad/Mobsters whom one of which betray you. Then later you are "made" into an a offical member.
So whats wrong with this story? Nothing...
Anyhing with Dons and Guns of war is a awsome story especially since it well depicts Gang life of an Itallian mobster.
The Irony of it all is that there is a mission in LCS where the Preist or Father whom hears peoples confessions hires you to take out rivals.
That story it self is very solid and always makes me laugh.
After all a "father" is supposed to forgive you for you sins...

Maybe there is a problem with your PSP.. if you are playing the UMD game then it shouldn't lag that bad like how you described it.. it should be smooth with minor frame dip..

Hmm, for me.. I think it has to be LCS. Let me explain why.

VCS became very repetitive for me, I had it before LCS. I played the living crap out of VCS, I played it so much it just became boring. So I moved onto LCS. I found the overall gameplay to be better, and is it just me or do the graphics look slightly better?

now, CTW.. What the heck is that? I did try to play it, but I found my self very bored very quickly, far far far to much reading for my liking, I started it to play a game.. not to sit there reading text for 15 minutes  if I wanted to read, I would of booted up Bookr :p. Once all the talking was done, I tried game play, I didn't find top-view too bad as I used to play GTAII and GTA1 quite a fair bit. I may boot up the game again some day, but I was so bored after reading and reading and reading, I just played it for 5 minutes and exited.

Any game that requires me to read for ages tends to bore me  but I do try to keep an open mind to games, sure I may not like it, but I am sure others do :-). I'd say it's probably a good game, but just not for me :-).

then if you want to watch cut scenes rather than reading a scene then you're better off watching a movie instead right? :D

 I guess so, but I do also like to play a game at the same time :-).

My game play usually consists of:

1) Complete story line (no cheats)
2) Do any various odd bits to get to 100% (no cheats)
3) Just mess around (sometimes with cheats)

So reading takes to much time :P maybe I'm just lazy .

Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars:

-PROS-

-Birds Eye Veiw perspective (Very differnt from GTA 1 & GTA 2), why? Becuase GTA 1 & GTA 2 had a Blimp Over head view and feels alot less 3D.
-Gun Control is better than any other GTA game (If you don't agree it's because you're arrogant), mainly because the game does not force you to aim up and down and their is no gun recoil at [A]ll. You simple press the left or right D-pad to change targets.
-Soundtrack is awsome as hell (If you don't agree it's becuase you're under 18 and never heard of these infamous soundtracks such as "Skatebard," "Me Toca")
-Cars, lets just say their the same as umm GTA 4
-Helicopter, Can only be unlocked when you beat the game 100% , done every side mission and mini game, and the two statues of fo
-Water, you don't drown in water and their is no water meter telling you how long you can be in water not only that their's jet skis and speedboats
-Story, it's very well done and arguably the most downright awsome story in Liberty City
-Oh and unlike any other version of GTA for the psp "YOU CAN BUY YOUR OWN HOUSES"
-The army is back and once you get 6 stars prepare to die from a deadly barrage of TANKS
-You can find an tank in the St. Francis Int. Airport
-Cons-
-If your not a fan of Liberty City then you won't like this game especially since this game is very restrictive when it comes to subways and trains
-Multplayer is a big disapointment

Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories:
-PROS-
-OKAY story
-Water won't kill you
-Massive airspace oppertunities
-Tanks are back
-Impressive roster of weapons
-Very Good Soundtrack (Prepare to die from killer tracks like, Electric Eye, Sin Para, ect)

-CONS-
- Vice City in the PS2 version, expect major framerate drops.
- DO NOT ABSOULUTY SAVE THE GAME WHEN YOU IMPUT CHEAT CODES
- Flawful and hand full of the games glitches
-Expect lagg when you blow the crap out of too many things
-Expect lagg when a fast car passes by you
-Gun mechanics, such as aiming is very flawed
-Expect the in game hudd to pop up a bunch of times and bother the crap out of you

Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories:
-PROS-
-Out of all the psp versions of GTA, LCS has undoubtfully the best story (Sindaccos VS. Ferllies)
-Only psp game of GTA that allows you to work for a Preist and do his "dirty work"
-More cars than any other GTA game on the psp
-Good Soundtrack, but not the best
-Best costumes for you character (Especially online) Expect the game to be like a cosplay game
-Gun Mechanics are very well done, fixed aiming, and above all auto aiming has never looked sexier in a GTA game
-Outstanding framerate (The game hardly has any noticable framerate drops, and drips)
-You can save without expecting any glitches to kick your ass
-Subway's and trains are back, expect them as your personal joy rides and rollercoasters
-Multiplayer is very well done and beats the hell out of what VCS couldn't do
-Expect harder escapes from the police (More police mayham = more fun)
-Expect Police Helicopters to kick your ass when your low on ammo
-DRUGS ARE BACK (Expect the fun of fast and slow gameplay)

-CONS-
-Lack of "good music," but hey what could you expect most of the music in the game is from the '90's (an awful aproach of music, escpecially since the music entertainment used an awful ammount of auto tune that slowly swayed music fans, and even this common cliche continues up till this very day and time as I'm as speaking as of right now)
-WATER CAN KILL YOU
- You can no longer enter the police station and cause mayham
