Please mods don't lock the topic, this is not a request, just a strong hint that some of us might want to port this to the PSP ;)

6502 assembly, huh? I wonder if a port comes out of this. Probably only once it has been rewritten in C with an SDL (or so) basis.

I would LOVE to see a port of this game. There has to be at least one dev that shares the nostalgia I have for this game and the ability to port it to the PSP. *crosses his fingers*

Crap, I was so excited I didn't even check, I stupidly assumed it was C... I guess you're right

WTF? It's all in assembly!  Too much hard work to port this... You'll have to know Apple II's architecture and rewrite it in C... So sad.

EDIT: oh JJS already said this  I'm late as usual...

Impressive stuff: someone had previously ported the game to the C64. He was reversing the game from memory dumps.

I would love to port it as long there's an 'human readable' code available. Let's wait a little, I'm quite sure something will happen... :)

If anyone wants to do a port, maybe they should start with the open source reimplementation "FreePrince" (C + SDL).

The original website was here (now "hacked"): princed . org ,
luckily the internet archive has a version too: http://wayback.archive.org/web/*/http:/ ... inced.org/

Source code can be found here: http://popot.org/get_the_games.php?game=FreePrince

Edit:
Meh, somehow this doesn't really look good. Both a self-compiled Linux version and the Windows binary produce really messed up results. Might be a problem on my end though.

I will probably not mess around with it any further. Just saying, I don't want to keep anyone from giving it a more serious try ;)
