Shugo, I've got the same problem as you—translated text, but untranslated images. I'm running the game with the same specs as you, UMD and all.

My guess is that it's got something to do with using a UMD, then; everyone else I've talked to plays with a pirated copy.

Yeah, that'd be my guess as well. Well, I'm just glad I can run the patch without having to pirate a game I already own. The stuff on the images is basic and I can read it; it'd just be more convenient to have them in English.

you can always rip the game from your UMD and use the ISO instead (at least that's what i did cuz if i frequently used the UMD the case tends to loose as time passes)

Note: ripping your games from your UMD is not piracy (unless you share it other plus they didn't buy the actual game)

Anyways the "PoPiPo" song... this video was the first time I ever heard it. (The "weeeeeeeee" part is just some thing that is awesome.)
Also for those who dont know that monster is "Mr.Face" from Amnesia The Dark Descent (Great game!)
