Hi folks,

i just bought a brand new 2ds because there was a super sale on a shop near my house.

It came with firmware 6.0.0-12E.

I don't know nothing about nintendo console, so i really need some indication.

First of all, i read that there are three mode to run unsigned code on it:

- ninjahax: that requires to buy cubic ninja. It allow to run a cfw like rxtool or cw pasta
- Gateway / SKY 3ds: that require to buy a special card that will only run games from a micro sd
- MSET exploit: a browser exploit that doesn't require to bought something. It allow to run a cfw like rxtool or cw pasta. It requires an internet connection every time to run the exploit.

Now my question:

Can i update manually to a specific system software like we do on psvita? Which advantages there are to update from 6.0.0 to the latest hackable firmware (theme support for example?) ?

Which is the best latest hackable firmware for 2ds? i read somewhere that is 9.2

Which is the best hack that i can choose (i'm referring to cfw, i read somewhere that the best and safe chooise is rxtools)

Should i use mset exploit or cubic ninja exploit?

Where i can find the unofficial (or maybe official) sdk?

What i need to know about it that i haven't asked?

Thank you, any help will be appreciated

Also free feel to correct my monster engRish, it will be really appreciated :)

here's the progress..

i update the spider exploit (a webkit exploit) in a web server, then i opened that page via 2ds browser then i had install rx tools. With gateway launcher.dat i have created the emunand over the sd card, then i have updated it to 9.8.

Now each time i want to start the cfw i need to use the spider exploit.

I am thinking to downgrade the settings app, because the old version is supported by the mset exploit that doesn't require an internet connection.

Now another question..

I have read about the installation of fbi installer over Health&Safety App: should i install it on sysnand or on emu nand?
