If your ps3 does not use any kind of CFW, and you do not intend to use one, since they are basically just for piracy, just update your ps3.

As long as it is not at (or below) firmware 3.55, you wont be able to install a CFW anyways.


A PS Vita with firmware 1.xx, 2.xx or 3.0x can not access the ps vita psn store. You can try to access the psn store from WITHIN TN-V, but keep in mind that that psn store is the psp psn store. Since you just want to redeem a code anyways, that should not be a problem.

Uh im not sure that method will work for me, its the Pre-order code for DW8 Complete.
Is there noway for me to access PSN on a lower firmware?
Since the future for ECFW seems uncertain i would hate to update and never get ECFW again.

You need a PS3 download and transfer it but the code can be redeemed via not only a PS3 but also the Sony web store

i dont know on with firmware i run, i don't have a PSVita, getting it friday, it should be the 2004 version (slim), 1004 version is'nt more aviable here.
