I obviously messed something up

Post by Kucha »

I'm using the new VHBL release with Space Invaders Extreme, and did everything according to this guide. When launching the HBL I get an "ERROR! Couldn't find any homebrew in EAN/". Pressing either of the shoulder buttons lets me through to the explorer anyway, so I installed Daedalus64 (Downloaded from here). Upon launching it kicks me out of VHBL back into the Vita menu. After trying this again the screen was actually radically offset to the left in both Space Invaders and the HBL, and some time later froze.
So, lay it on me. How miserably did I fail this time? Or even better, how and why. Help pls.

You did nothing wrong
It sounds like that homebrew is not compatible with this exploit.

Try this : viewtopic.php?f=53&t=38926

I had the same message at the start of VHBL but now it's ok :)

But yeah, Daedalus64 don't work for me too :(

Ah, thanks a bunch for clarifying. Unfortunately the one I downloaded from the link provided actually froze my Vita. Stuck on "JGE:Loading application", can't even shut the Vita down. So, yeah, I'll see where this leads, and then probably switch back to the original

Why do you want to run a n64 emulator on the vita anyways, because the vhbl only allows emulation on a psp level rather than using the vita hardware due to not having kernel access so basically you running games which didn't work well on the psp on the vita.

Well honestly, Daedalus was just the first thing I happened to download to try things out
