Live Bubbles and .img decrypting (and more)?

Post by johnny.ego »

I was just wondering...

1) Now that we can force the PSV to backup near any eboot that we want into the .img file trough CMA, is there any possibility that we can figure out how the console encrypt it?

2) Now that we can load more PSP games from Live Area because we are no more restricted to the PSN but only in ISO size, are there more chance to find even more game exploitable?

3) if we have 2 vitas with the same account, one at 3.18 and another on 3.35, and move the memory card with a Live Bubble from the 3.18 one to the 3.35 one, it will be working again?

4) Same as 3, but using backup instead of memory swapping?

Re:#1, the CMA encryption is not susceptible to known plain text attacks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Known-plaintext_attack

#2) As far as the Vita is concerned it is running the base game, also there is no size limit anymore but tools require updating.

#3) No as the card keeps track of the highest firmware its been used on thus it will ask to update to lower firmware Vita.

#4) Yea it should work.
