[Release] UO MVSPSP [v2.3.2]

Post by MadZiontist »

This was recently updated by dev IsmaMj, and is a huge update from [v2.3.1] from what I've read. Here's some info, the changelog, and DL link for 32MB, 64MB, and 1.50k versions. This is the "Bugfix version". In the DL I also included each version with a customized EBOOT I threw together (including an ICON1.pmf XMB video). I didn't create the graphics or .pmf video myself. Just "frankensteined" the thing together with stuff I've gathered from various sources over time. So credit for that goes to whomever actually originally created the "stuff" lol.

I haven't been able to get it to show up in TN-V on my XMB yet, but I've been having some Vita dramas lately and haven't had the time to fully troubleshoot it yet. Please report back, anybody who tries this out, if you get it working on TN-V. Unfortunately there was no source code included, but I'm hoping that the same member on here who got Adhoc working, on the Vita, with all of those other Emus (MVSPSP, CPS1PSP/CPS2PSP, etc.) can do the same with this one!

Oh, and I also included ROM Cache Converters that will convert the ROM Cache for both 32MB and 64MB version. Including batch versions as well!
Unofficial MVSPSP 2.3.2 Released. Here's What You Need to Know.

The NeoGeo was a complicated but beloved system in terms of its history. As both an arcade machine and a home console, it brought us titles like Capcom vs SNK and the Metal Slug series. Sure folks like Mario were beginning to take over the industry as we know it, but there are few machines that knew how to make our virtual worlds more vibrant and visually appealing than the NeoGeo. In terms of its emulation, things can certainly get a little bit complicated with a series of BIOs that can be used to get your games running, but that has not stopped developer nebuwaks from releasing a new version of MVPSP that includes support for a ton of these options to try out.

With support for Japan MVS and AES alongside several versions of Unibios, you'll now have the ability to get more games loaded than ever before. If that's not enough for you though, the raster effect in the unibios has been updated to 3.0 which means the action is going to look a whole lot better too. In terms of the more back end program functions, you'll now have the ability to house up to 1024 ROMs with menu crashes sorted out too. While the translation is a little rough, it should also be noted the "length" of these ROMs has been increased from eight to ten. If this all sounds well and good to you, check out the download link below!
I dun think this emu ever support cheat file, officially. I just use CWcheat.

I havent got a chance to play with my TN-V. I hav to try cwcheat plus this emu too. oh man its been a while since i touched MVSPSP. Itching to continue making new cheats. :ugeek:

So has anyone tested this yet? Is it noticeably better graphically than 2.3.1? I've seen some skipping in the graphics of MVSPSP before due to resources, but I didn't expect that this was something that could be fixed at least on early PSP models and the Vita pspemu. Is the frame skipping during certain shading effects or raster effects as seen in some of the Samurai Showdown games the same issue that has been improved in this release? (I really only play the fighting games on this, so it's possible that there are other graphical glitches that I haven't encountered)

You're welcome.

Oh, and I didn't code this emulator, and I don't have the knowledge to do anything with any other emu, including NCDZPSP.
