ff9 ftw but be aware, when you reach disc 3 on the psn version, the game slows down. You will need to download ff9 disc 3 and 4 somewhere and convert it to psp psx format to avoid this slowdown. Another reason to have cfw

I would honestly say play final fantasy 9 first, then play final fantasy 7. 9 is easier, while 7 it's confusing sometimes but do awesome

so um i have 10 bucks on my psn account and wanna know what final fantasy game should i get remember i have 10 euros only so i cant buy 2 or 3 or all of em until i wait a few months (im saving money for a new tv) so heres the list: ff 5, ff6, ff7 (heard that this is a must own game), ff8 or ff9 so can someone please give me good advice which should i get?

Why would you recommend FF Tactics WOTL to him? They still have the PSX version of FFT on PSN for the same price as WOTL, because WOTL is a *** disgrace. The original FFT ran at 60fps whereas this joke of a revamp seems to run at 15 whenever you use an ability. I played it when I had my PSP and could not make it past the first battle. It was disgusting.

This is true -_-. Play FFT WOTL only if you have cfw because you are going to want to install the patch that fixes the frame slowdown issue certain abilities cause (you'll be using them alot.) Why a few *** of people wityh psps can fix this and SE can't is beyond me though >.<

I hated War of the Lions but loved the PSX version because it was so much simpler.

Because War of the Lions decided to RENAME pretty much ALL THE SKILLS of the Original.

way to make it disappointing for long time fans then they do not give an option to watch cutscenes with ingame graphics, you have to watch their rendered movies -_- unlike the original.

Final Fantasy 9 is more true to the first couple of games (SNES), but it doesn't have limit breaks so lame .

Look for 7 and 8 if you want more of an Rpg feel with respectable graphics and storyline and length.

Final Fantasy 12 sucked so bad, it was just horrendous, they decided to revamp the turn based battle sequence into a freeroaming kind of MMORPG.
You cannot compete with enemies unless you just spam click the attack command, because enemies are scripted with an exact move turn based battles gave balance, but this game is unbalanced.
I think they had FF11 Online in mind when they were developing this.
