Capture Adhoc Network session packets and...

I've been thinking about this since the early days of the PSP and just now thought I should ask the programmers/coders who are familiar with the inner workings of the PSP. If not maybe you guys can point me in the direction. Sorry if there is some ignorance in my questions. While I develop apps and applications via java/android and VB/C# I am still naive to coding with network capabilities.

What is preventing someone from trying to get a game like GTA LCS, Monster Hunter, etc with adhoc capabilities online via connecting the PSP to a local network through the adhoc connection and forwarding the connection it to a pre-existing server that other people connect to. I know programs like Haimachi or XLinkkai or even Adhoc party on ps3 do something like that through tunneling but they usually require either modding your router or having a specific third party device.

Part of my curiosity also comes from mods to games such as GTA SA online or Just Cause 2 Online that were originally offline/local mutiplayer only. I am guessing it would require me to mod part of whatever game (Could this be possible since we can access the internal structure of an ISO/CSO?).

No what is it?

EDIT: Quick google search seems like something I would like to work on. Hmm... I wonder if it is still ongoing.
