I'm using gpSP-J because all the builds of Kai that I've tried have had serious audio issues when playing Final Fantasy V Advance. Unfortunately, there are glitches even on gpSP-J that are rather annoying - attacking certain enemies will cause the game to freeze!

I just started using gpSP 3.4 test3 build 384 the other day and so far it's working pretty well, the control setup is a little weird (not like my other emulators at all) but I haven't tried to change it or mess with it at all, but all the games I've tried so far work really well with no errors what so ever.

I run close to all gba games with the kai mod but i cann´t run gta.
Maybe it is work with the new hen for some pokemon you have to change the setting (config-file).
If a game lagg change the setting in gpsp emulator or hen. (rar/zip format is supported?!)

Well I use mostly GPSP kai for stable gba games because of it's many customizations.
but I also use GPSP-J for games like Chain of Memories and both Golden Sun's because they need the extra fixing ASAP.
(they're somewhat more stable but I'd love to see someone run them at full speed)

There is an update to gpsp-j (4-30-2012): http://www.emucr.com/2012/05/gpsp-j-20120430.html

Does anyone know what was updated? And what the rankings would be now between the gba emulators on psp?

I'm trying this new release, and seems to be very good. I though could be the best one of all emulator if you don't consider Adhoc or Widescreen functions important. If you like these functions, you must use gpSP-kai.

Titles like Metroid Fusion, Dragon Ball Advance Adventure, all Super Mario Advance, Metal Slug...All of them work flawlesly.

And this version it's translated to english too :).

thanks for telling us.. i didn´t check the latest gba-emu (fix relocation error) but i think i found old ver. which are translated into other languages and i believe it should be possible to use them with this one to just copy the cfg floder.
Maybe update the new game_config.txt to play more games with kai gba ;)
