Getting more RAM for my iMac, where would I get more?

Post by Awesome Charlie »

Getting more RAM for my iMac for Christmas, anyone know where I could get some? (don't care about price, as long as it works great) Also, if anyone knows how I would install it that would be helpful too :)

try that .. but you need to figure out what kind of ram is in it already, im guessing you need ether ddr2 or ddr3 and it would also be an idea to figure out wich sizes it can actually use, as most computers are resticted in memory size by the chipset (tho i dont know if it does apply to imac's as well)

i never swaped ram on a imac, but usually ram are just pressed into a slot vertically, but i belive those ram are installed kinda "sideways" (as most laptops) and then pressed into the fittings, but i suggest you just notice how you remove the old and then reverse that process .. ;)

maby this could help as well ... idk:
