Build a High-End Next-Gen Killer Gaming PC for $2500

Post by JeoWay »

This is basically an update to my previous post -> Build a Gaming PC for around $1300
I eventually came into some money to upgrade some of the hardware that was very cheap from the previous rig, and is now my basically finished monster (I still plan on doing a few tweaks to it).

The rig specifications will be posted along with a price tag next to it (as of the time of writing this post):

Case: Corsair 900D - $390
Motherboard: MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming - $190
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K @4.7Ghz (4.3Ghz Cache) - $350
GPU: AMD Radeon 7950 Double Dissipation by XFX (Will be upgraded to a 290X in the near future) - $400
RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400Mhz (4 x 8GB) - $400
Power Supply: Corsair HX1050 (1050 watts) 80+ Gold certified - $220
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i Water Cooling - $110
Disk Drive: Standard DVD. CD, & Blu-ray reader & writer - $40
Storage: WD Blue 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache HDD - $65
Storage: 128GB Samsung 840 PRO SSD - $140

Extra Cooling:

-Swapped out stock h100i dual fans for Corsair Sp120 high performance quad fans (two fans on both sides of radiator) - $35
-4 Corsair Quiet Edition RED LED case fans for a nice air flow - $30

Total for this monster: $2370 (tax and shipping not included)
