Why? My main PC runs perfectly fine the way it is, and most of it was free xD
Most computers come standard with 4 now. But hey nothing beats free! If it works fine then no prob. My old 1 gig xp ran really slow! After being wiped cleaned too!
Please pray for frillybob. Get updates from here > viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2974

Give it a year and that number will be 8-16

If that's the case, there must have been something wrong with the hardware or it has a very slow CPU. The recommended amount of RAM for XP is only 256 MB, and minimum is 64 MB (even though it's excruciatingly slow on 64 MB, I did it on my first PC). A clean install of XP should run beautifully on 1 GB as long as you have a decent CPU.
Intel Core 2 Quad or something
2.60 ghz
500 HDD
5 GB ram, bought a new 1, didnt like slow computers
Win 7 ultimate
NVIDEA GFORCE
and other things i sometimes cant seem to remember
