(NEWS) Xperia Play Games Library Set To Expand

Post by Steven »

Sony Ericsson has announced a swag of new titles for the Xperia Play, otherwise known as the PlayStation Phone, including Battlefield: Bad Company, Desert Winds, Order & Chaos, and Lumines.

Minecraft is also listed, although Mojang had already made that clear.

Sony has been quiet on the subject of games for the Xperia PLay, which is still unreleased in some territories, but has promised a new bunch of PSOne Classics will be revealed soon – probably at E3 – to supplement the current, rather woeful line up.

See the full list announced today below, courtesy of Destructoid.

* Minecraft by Mojang
* Battlefield: Bad Company 2 by Electronic Arts
* Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Shadow Vanguard by Gameloft
* Desert Winds by Southend Interactive
* Ruined by Bigpoint
* Icebreaker by NaturalMotion
* Sleepy Jack by SilverTree Media
* Cracking Sands by Polarbit
* Armageddon Squadron 2 by Polarbit
* An unnamed fighting game from Khaeon Gamestudio
* Pocket Legends by Spacetime Studios
* Star Legends: The Black Star Chronicles by Spacetime Studios
* Eternal Legacy by Gameloft
* Guns ’n’Glory 2 by HandyGames
* Dungeon Hunter 2 by Gameloft

Well, hello. I purchased the Xperia Play yesterday for Verizon in the US btw. I must say its quite nice. homebrews on the market by Tiger...AKA. emulators snes, gba, gbc, nes, genesis work very well for the phone. Many are free but Google is pulling the emulators rapidly. it comes with 6 preloaded games., crash bandicoot (only ps1 game) being one of them. it's like a pspgo2...from my review of the device, its nice device. quick and very responsive controls. the issue is if you dont like the pspgo, im afraid you will dislike the Xperia play phone. well, the more I test the more ill post. Ill edit this post for details.

Update: june 8th 2011
1st-brightness flickers on lowest setting

2nd- nesoid, snesoid,genoid,gboid, gameboid, n64oid(007 golden eye working very well, sound included. and perfect dark) tiger mame, FPse(PS1 emulator) (game backups only, support your developer :D)
-these emulators are fantastic. I have personally purchased games (a long time ago) for these systems, and on the phone they are beautiful.

3rd- have power plug handy, because 5+ hours of play leaves no time for talking. P.S. use a blue-tooth so you can talk and play :D

4th- the speakers are pretty loud, so the sound is great.

5th- has all the other features of different market places typical of any android phone. ( not 4Glte compatible :( )

ok, thats all i have for now, if you have a question please post it here thanks. :ugeek:

Umm... if i'm correct this is the PS Vita General section. What does the Xperia Play have to do with the PS Vita? What you posted is in no way related to the PS Vita.
* PSP 3001(03G) w/ an 8GB Memory Stick & 6.20 PRO-C2 Permanent
* Laptop - Acer Aspire 5742z w/ Windows7/8 & Ubuntu
* PS4 (Think I got enough to buy one when it comes out X_X)

Well, the PSVita section is probably the most like the Xperia Play. Where else would he put this, the PS3 section?

The reason why they locked it, is because they already created the section here viewforum.php?f=35

dude when i posted this thread it wasn't even named PSVITA & during that time the name psvita hasn't been declared did even check the date & time that i posted this thread :roll: plus there's no general section in the other platforms and this is not related to Smartphones (Android, iStuff, tablets, ...) :roll:
