On what platforms will Bloodline Champions be released?
The game is using the Microsoft XNA framework which means it will only run natively under Microsoft Windows, but applications using XNA are known to work very well in Wine (http://www.winehq.org). Supported operating systems will most likely be Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

I don't know why they don't do it, you don't even need to port them, just use opengl and make them compatible with wine (look at half-life 1 for example). Oh and when I said there was barely any game on Linux I meant that there is barely any Windows games on Linux.

They won't do it because they mainly use Direct3D and not OpenGL because the OGL alliance sucks ass. Anyway with Valve's Steam coming to Linux this could change, even if some hardcore free software gurus do not like Steam ported to Linux (e.g. Stallman).

you said it, "hardcore". One thing is to have an open source OS and another thing is not making that OS compatible with closed source sw. Thats why I like Ubuntu, it's entirely made of OSS, but it has a large support of CSS.

Well, you're off-topic-ing and you're plain wrong.

First, most open source software has strong support for international/industry standards. It's the closed source software that most of the times does not comply with the standards or tries to subvert the standard to adapt to its inconsistencies (see Microsoft's embrace, extend and extinguish strategy). Thus closed source companies should be forced to respect the standards instead.

Second, closed source companies doesn't like their software running on unauthorized OS (e.g. running Office on Wine). To prevent this, they use nasty tricks, like undocumented OS features or whatever, to crush this. I don't think open source developers should be always lickin' closed source software's ass to make this work. Just drop support of it.

Third, you talk about Ubuntu and its privative drivers and software. I personally prefer Debian's social contract, where all software is guaranteed to be 100% free software. Supporting free software is one of my priorities, and I use free software whenever I can (that is, when free software alternative are decent enough to be used).

And fourth, why would open source be compatible with closed source when the opposite is not true? In fact it's ever getting worse with DRMs, secure boot loaders and such bullshit. I don't see why you see logical that Linux has to be compatible with Windows binaries through Wine, Windows loader through GRUB, Windows drivers through ndiswrapper, Windows filesystems like NTFS in native kernel support, Windows -in fact it's IBM's- sharing file "technology" -to name it somethin- through Samba, and so on, while Windows doesn't even support dual booting. In fact Windows is the least compatible OS ever, and I don't see anyone complaining about this. Instead, it's everything else that should be compatible with Windows, and this seems natural to you. It's simply disgusting for me.
