Patching Final Fantasy Type-0 into English

Post by GuitaristMatt »

What you need:

A PSP or Vita with TN-V8+
A computer with Windows 7+ (The patch hasn't been tested on other OS and doesn't work with XP)
An ISO of Final Fantasy Type-0 (Disc 1 or a merged file)
The English Patch (It's 2.04GB)

The process:

Save everything to a place that is easy to find.
When you have everything ready, such as cfw installed and files downloaded, start by opening the Patcher.exe
Click 'Patch'
Navigate to your .ISO
Choose a name and a location to save your file
*Done*

PSP
Getting CFW for your PSP can be found here:
http://wololo.net/cfw4dummies/
Choose a CFW that supports the Inferno driver
When you have chosen your firmware and installed it, you can drag and drop your new ISO from your computer (or even a phone) to your PSP memory card.
Don't forget to enable the Inferno driver before starting up the game on your PSP.

Vita
Getting your Vita CFW:
http://wololo.net/vita-cfw4dummies/
You will need TN-V8 or greater and then you can follow this tutorial for transferring homebrew and other games:
viewtopic.php?f=65&t=38041
Don't forget to enable that Inferno driver

If you don't know how to create an ISO from your newly imported copy of FF Type-0 there are a few PSP tutorials on that, also found on this site.

I made a merged version with the second disk then patched it to English. Works 100% so far.
