Copy any game from your UMD without any software

Post by pokemon14 » Wed Mar 26, 2014 4:54 pm

This tutorial will teach you how to copy a game directly from a UMD disc without the use of any software.

1)Turn off your PsP while lifting the hold button more than 2 seconds.
2)Turn on your PSP now while holding down the R button to enter recovery mode.
3)Go to "Configuration".
4)Go to XMB USB DEVICE and then to Memory stick
5)Press the X button to display UMD DISC in place of Memory Stick.
6)Exit Recovery Mode.
7)Pass to usb mode. You will not see the contents of your memory stick but a UMDXXXX.ISO file, which is the file of the game on your UMD.
8)Copy the game on your PC.
9)To return things to normal, open the Recovery menu and then Configuration, then XMB USB DEVICE, then Memory stick, then display Memory Stick in place of UMD DISC.

I hope this is helpful.

Let me simplify this a bit for you

While in the XMB press "Select" then change the USB mount option to UMD
Press "Select" again to exit out of the menu and the next time you plugin the PSP to a computer the UMD will appear instead of your memory stick

Also to enter recovery mode just choose the recovery mode option in the VSH menu
(press Select)

As you can see this is not much of a tutorial :/
