How to fix sticking buttons?

Post by wraddek »

Hey guys, I decided to get my psp out of retirement yesterday and I was playing some monster hunter when I pressed the left button on the d-pad and to my surprise when I let my finger off it kept on going left, upon further testing this is a common occurrence, if I press the left button slightly hard it always sticks now  So I thought I'd ask here if anyone knows the best way to fix psp buttons from sticking? -Thanks

Take off your faceplate and wipe the dust from the connectors or readjust the buttons a bit. That might help.

Thanks, tried that. I took off the faceplate and there was pretty much no dust anyway :| Cleaned it anyway and moved the rubber thing under the d-pad around a little but no luck... It still sticks, but only when I press hard  Guess I should just learn to press softer lol
