PSP Memory Options

Post by Unsung Hero »

I have 3 PSP 1000s with CFW.

I was wondering to go with Pro Duo sticks or get SD adapters with some SD cards. Which ones would have better read speeds and affordability? I was thinking maybe 4gb of memory per PSP.

Also any brands i should avoid? Which ones would give me the best bang for buck?

For one of the PSP i would like as much space as possible so whats the biggest i can go with it?

If theres any options i didnt talked about please post them

Anything knockoff, or from Lexar. They have issues with "MagicGate Unsupported" and early breakdowns which can lead to all sorts of issues.
I don't know about Kingston.
SanDisk or Sony so far seems the safe way to go.

The MS M2 Micro->ProDuo adapter seems to work fine, and is often cheaper than buying a ProDuo itself. (This caps out at 16gb however.)
if you want more space than that, ProDuo or a MicroSD with adapter would be needed.

Hmm, there is MicroSD's upto at least 64gb a piece, and ProDuo's as well.
There is a PhotoFast Dual MicroSD adapter, which can load and format two MicroSDs into a single drive, but iirc it was abit lacking in speed.
