PSP face buttons dead

Postby stan450 » Wed Jun 20, 2012 1:54 pm

Hey guys,
Title explains everything. My PSP's face button's just died on me. The X O [] and /\ buttons don't work, but every other button does. I couldn't test out the analog stick and L and R buttons because I couldn't select anything. I have tried pressing them hard, and shutting it down and switching it on, but they didn't get back to life. My only guess is a glass cleaner named "colin" which I used to clean it's screen about a month ago. If it is due to that, why did the buttons die now?
I have a morbid feeling my PSP's dead. :( :( :(
Can anyone help me?
Long Time, but still surprised to see PRO C is not out!

Reboot into ofw to check if it´s plugin related.. or search a how to replace D-pad, buttons etc. tut (that´s easy and "cheap")! The cleaner could be a reason why replace hardware can end without sugcess. Maybe try some button test apps.
.. PRO C is not out! C is out

I removed my battery and put it back in, and surprise surprise, it went into the date and time screen. Face buttons still don't work.
BTW my sig was made 3 months ago. Gonna replace it if my psp lives :(
