Getting olde homebrews to work on 6.35 PRO?

Post by Nigan »

Hello everyone,,
This looks like the right place to put this, so here goes. I've tried to use Homebrews like Age of Empires PSP http://dl.qj.net/psp/homebrew-games/age ... s-psp.html or windows vista Psp http://dl.qj.net/psp/homebrew-applicati ... a-psp.html (not a portal) and when I open the zip, it's got two different folders. I throw them both in the game [removed by mod] folder on the psp and try them out. but one is classified as broken data, and the other only loads the gameboot before giving me a "game could not be started" error with a lot of numbers. This has happened on quite a few homebrews for me, but is there any way to use them?

Your links are broken. However if you wanna run homebrews it is important to put floder with eboot similar to cfw floder. So
in Game floder a floder for the eboot of homebrew with related files.
Sometimes you find homebrews which use additional floder in root of ms or maybe in PSP floder. Most times you see how to place thoose floder because it´s allready packed like to extract to your ms.
Pretty sure on windows-homebrew extra floder is commen and often needed to add plugins to related text file or it not pass the boot.
Do not expect to much on it better use PSPDOXMANAGER or simial PSPfiler etc.

Btw the error code maybe tell you why game not start for example you can find by thoose code if eloader may fix it (1.5 homebrew) or else. Just keep on trying till you believe you´ve done all well and if it still fail...search updates or other fixes.

@tobsucht don't bother, turned out he was just here to link to spam, he created several topics pretending to ask for help, and he already got banned. I'll lock the topic to prevent more spam.
