Okay so before I do anything I think I want to make sure I have everything in order.

1st - after I updated to 6.61 I got a larger memory card and wiped the old one since PRO-C f3 didn't work anymore

2nd - it occurs to me that I didn't uninstall the CFW, just wiped the card and replaced with a new bigger one. is that going to create a problem? Do I need to restore it to factory settings or put the 6.60 Fast Recovery File back on there to be able to open the menu and uninstall it or can I just install PRO-C2 on there and everything will be ok?

Is there a better, smarter, more effective to do what I'm doing? (I have a US 3000 model by the way) Like I said I've only ever had experience with PRO-C3 and just followed the tutorial on the site so I want to make sure I'm not going to brick the system by accidentally having 2 overlapping CFWs on there (if that's a thing).

Thanks again and sorry for the barrage of questions.

So if I'm correct, you updated to 6.61 OFW without uninstalling the 6.60 CFW? That is no problem at all! Go ahead and install 6.61 PRO CFW. If you want to stay on PRO then use Qwikrazors PRO-C2 update and now it has even better (incredible for me anyway) ISO/CSO speeds with a recent addition made to the Inferno driver. :)

Thanks Casavult,

You're correct in that I updated without uninstalling so I was worried something might happen.

The only question I have now is that my collection is all digital (PSP and PSone games) from the PSN

The site says (6.60 PRO-C2 has a bug that prevents PSN PSX games from being played at all!) is that something I need to worry about or has that been fixed in the 6.61 build? Because I want to be able to play my games obviously.

Thanks again.

The december build of PRO-C2 has been fixed. Technically it is PRO-C2fix1, but it is still called PRO-C2.

Thanks again for being so helpful to someone who is clearly very clueless, I appreciate it.

So everything is working right now and I have my 1.3 and WotL slowdown patches put back on so I'm a happy camper! (yes I realize having 3 different versions of Tactics on one system might be crazy but I'm a hardcore fanboy)

My next objective is to learn how to put my UMD copies of Lumines and Tekken Dark Resurrection on my stick. I know there are multiple ways of doing it but is there one that any of you would recommend (or that works better with PRO-C2 / 6.61).

Thanks again everyone.

You can use homebrew like umd dumper or filer6.6, or directly rip it on your PC by directing your USB mass storage to the umd via recovery or vsh. Both should work fine on any cfw, but use the PC method if you have a slow or fake pro duo card.

I have a PSP3000 currently that I have working with 6.60 Proc Fix 3 (Temporary one - not a problem seeing as my PSP is either in use or on Standby) but am now beginning to wonder exactly what I am missing out on seeing as so many of you are recommending different firmwares as being better?

I have 128gb memory in mine in a photofast adapter which is full to the brim with PSP games and PSX games (both PSN Eboots and home made eboots) and apart from needing popsloader for one or two PSX games everything runs absolutely flawlessly and without fail. So what exactly am I missing out on with other firmwares? New features?

Basically yes. New features, bug fixes, etc, etc. An overall better and more featured firmware is what is expected.

Well, you can use PRO Online. It basically turns Adhoc into infrastructure so you can play AdHoc games with people around the world using the internet. There are more new features as well but I can't remember them all but I will say that PRO-C2 is a great firmware and if you like PRO then I would highly recommend updating to PRO-C2 by Qwikrazor and not PRO-C f3.

You can look at the official PRO CFW Google Code page to find what's' new, changes made, etc by selecting the link below. ;)

PRO CFW Google Code
• PS4Pro 2TB OFW • PS3 3k 1TB OFW • PS3 Slim 2k 500GB 4.84.2 DEX Rebug • PS3 Slim 2k 250GB 4.84.2 CEX Rebug •
• PSV 1k 32GB 3.60 HENkaku • 3x PSP 2k (TA-085v1) 128GB 6.60 ME-2.3 • PSP 2k (TA-085v2) 32GB 6.60 ME-2.3 •
