So ive just released an update to my Package Installer 2.0 Homebrew. that now allows you to install .pkgs files that are stored on the memory card on ux0:pkgs and the abiltiy to reboot the system straight from the app.
DRM pkg files not supported. Pkgs are just zip files renamed. After a non DRM pkg is expanded in the ux0:/bdgl/t folder open HENkaku and grab the files. Then zip them on store compression and rename extension to pkgs from zip.
It is very similar PS3 bubbles that stay on the XMB for PSP/Vita install. See the attached image this is Netflix after expanding the pkg and prior to install. If you grab it with FTP and zip then rename you have the pkgs format but only works for DRM free content which we can do with CMA and PKG installer.
Or simply unzip the pkgs format FTP into ux0:/bdgl/t folder power off and it will install. After reboot just press X in the upper right corner that usually shows PSN info or updates etc. This app just bypasses the need for the PC side client all the time if you keep the expanded pkgs on your memory card.
