Is a HDCP stripper for PlayStation TV possible?

Post by Satoshi_Matrix »

With HENkaku, I'm wondering if it might be possible to disable the awful HDCP protection that prevents capture devices from well, capturing Vita footage. Currently the only way to do this is to run the signal through an HDMI splitter first.

Can we get an HDCP stripper for 3.60 Henkaku?

There's a HENkaku request thread over on GBAtemp. Not sure if you'll see this before it gets locked/removed. :D

Whoops, sorry, poor wording on my part. My apologies.

I'm not so much requesting an HDCP stripper, I'm moreso asking if it can be done. HENkaku is a kernal exploit but it doesn't let you do deep level stuff like modifying game code or installing pirated games. What about something on the system level such as disabling HDCP.

I need this as I use a hdmi splitter and the vita tv hates it and will not display, and getting tired of plug/unplug the hdmi to the tv.

right, this. It's a very common problem. So I'm wondering if a solution is possible.
