I tried the xerpi's version yesterday, and yes it is slow but this is expected. But what a surprise when I checked out the repo :D

Currently this is a port of the 3DS port, so it's kind of messy.
There is no rom selector so you have to place a rom called game.nds into ux0:/data/DeSmuME/

lololol

the 3DS port of DeSmuME is actually a port of the PSP port of DeSmuME :D

this is a port of a 3ds port of a psp port of a pc emulator.

:D

Thanks!

Heart Gold actually ran no problem.
Well, at about 1 frame per second.
The thing I found amazing was it actually rendered Ho-Oh on the title screen properly. Color me impressed.

The 3DS port is not a port of the PSP, shutterbug ported DSonPSP which was really outdated and didn't have a rasterizer so I ported an up to date version of DeSmuME to the 3DS. This is actually SVN DeSmuME with some of the changes I used on the 3DS.

Lol, If only had I known... I blame github for not showing it on the overview page.

shadowbrony33 wrote:Does this use virtualization or is it using an interpreter? Since the Vita is ARM based like the DS I suppose you could visualize the NDS CPU instead of interpreting it.
It uses an interpreter, I can port the arm to arm jit but the CPU can't be virtualized.
Ok thanks. The ARM JIT recompiler should be much better than an interpreter afaik.
