The PS Vita has a 2 GHz CPU which is 6.8x more powerful than the Original PS2 :)
Vita = ARM Cortex-A9
PS2 = MIPS R5900-based

CPU speed is not the problem, Take into consideration the difference in architecture and instruction set.
hope that people will understand that the frequency clock is not the only thing to care about.

Also the ps2 use EEGS, that is a different gpu than the one we see on ps vita.

I would love a homebrew that could push psp iso files directly into ms0:/ISO. No more need for using CMA to transfer and using TN-V or ARK-2 to install to ISO folder. Not sure of rejuvenate's restrictions, so I have no idea if that's even possible.

You can actually stream your PC games with Moonlight over the internet, just like the PS4 Remote Play.

Well, it's also extremely likely that the Vita is super-underclocked, just like the PSP, for battery life reasons. 2GHz is kind of a beast for a Cortex-A9, especially given when the Vita came out.

There's a couple of things that I can think of which would make good use of the vita's hardware.

First of all, we know Deadalusx64 works somewhat on the PSP, but it's far from ideal. Framerate issues, lots of necessary optimization and many game crashing bugs. It made good use of the hardware of the PSP, but I think it would be possible to make N64 emulation work a lot better on the Vita.

The same goes for MsDos. Dosbox had a port on PSP but it's far from ideal as well. It was only able to handle a handful of games and not all too well.

I noticed Dreamcast and PS2 emulators being mentioned, but I'm not sure to what kind of degree it would be possible. I think it can be worth a shot though.

The more realistic option would be to work some more on the DS emulator. It's easily possible for modern phones, so I can't imagine the Vita running into problems there.

Other than that, I would love to see some open source ports of games, such as Heroes of might and magic, RCT and some more.

I made a thread about it awhile ago, but I'll say it again. I'm really hoping for a ppsspp port. Being able to play psp games at higher resolutions on my vita would be ridiculously awesome. CWCheat can sometimes run codes that let you play games at higher fps, which you could do with the pspemu, but with ppsspp we would have much more ram to use. The pspemu doesn't always have enough ram for stuff like that.

Yo princesses,
one thing I really would desire is a nice and smooth WEB BROWSER.

Ideally full flash/html5 and java functionality.
But forget about that,
just a smoothly working webbrowser, that's something sony could never deliver.

A second thing would be an app to use the psvita as a WIRELESS GAMEPAD for the computer or IOS/ANDROID devices (or maybe even ps3).
It's sure nice enough to just use the buttons, though it'd be great to also include the screen or touch functions in later releases.

There's sure more ideas, I'm going to think about it for a while!

Good luck, I wish you the best!
Farewell!
