.pfs/.pk files found in Vita games?

So I've dumped about 8 retail Vita games now using Mr. Gas's pfs encryption bypass method . Normally, I've found that most pfs-encrypted content is decrypted when the game runs. However, this particular game is an oddity. I've uploaded the dumped files from Soul Sacrifice Delta, and the file that se...

Re: dumping your games or apps without pfs protection

Well the app.db includes all the apps you have installed, and you're also dumping them all, so if one is missing or an unexpected one is found it'll have an error dumping all the files.

Just send your app.db to yourself again and re-edit that one and it'll probably be good

Re: dumping your games or apps without pfs protection

I doubt it... Actually I got that error if my app.db wasn't accurate (I was trying to make room on my memory card for the dump). If you installed/uninstalled anything between updating your app.db and attempting the dump, try starting over and editing your current app.db. Even if you don't remember d...

Re: dumping your games or apps without pfs protection

I take it we can't decrypt the pkg files yet either then, so unless the game can be run within Near instead of the manual or something you're probably right. How disappointing

Thanks, that appeared to work. However, the cpks are encrypted (pretty sure with pfs) even though I had the game's manual open with Near when I dumped it.

Anything I can do about that...?

Re: dumping your games or apps without pfs protection

I believe its saved in the games save directory? At least for P4D it appears to be where it's saved. I have a physical copy of the game, so most of the time a physical game will only place a bubble and save data on the vita and is usually only around 1 MB in CMA. This used to be the case for my cop...

Re: dumping your games or apps without pfs protection

Does anyone have any idea where DLC is installed to? I dumped a game before and after I installed DLC, and there's no difference between the previous and current data.cpk. I read here that there's supposed to be a "/addcontent" directory inside the Game ID folder of the ms0:/app directory. But I did...

Good idea, next time I run into that I'll try it.

I actually solved the problem by rebuilding the database and starting from scratch again.
For some reason that helped

Re: dumping your games or apps without pfs protection

I kept getting an error trying to transfer the psp game with the pboot back to my Vita. It's this exact thing: what's the error? During copy PSP Game from PC to Vita, after transfering it from PSVita (so it shows ~1,1GB instead of 230MB) - C1-2753-7 error Before doing this i've deleted all folders i...

Re: [TUTORIAL] Dumping files without limitation :D

About that, I'm confused. Mr. Gas and Major_Tom have an entire article about them being able to decrypt apps on the Vita. http://wololo.net/2015/07/22/welcome-park-ps-vita-app-decrypted-mr-gas-and-major_tom-are-at-it-again/ In the comments, Mr. Gas can be quoted as saying: yes .. not only pd0 but al...
