Re: PSN style PSX eboot art

These look good. I've got about 89 done, we have a few overlapping titles, but here are some more pic0's: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gepvcmsark5azep/Lusids_PSX2PSP_PIC0_collection-89.7z?dl=1 I've also done icons for all the US releases: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ww199u5nci9jedr/Lusids_PSX2PSP_ICON0_U...

Re: Found 1001 3.60 m33 PSP after YEARS. Help me get up to d

Custom PS1 eboots still require CFW, as does the plugin to enable CDDA audio for PS1 games. Homebrew that requires kernel access also still needs CFW, including emulators that leverage the media engine, etc. Otherwise PSP backups can be signed and just dropped into the game folder. The system still ...

Re: Found 1001 3.60 m33 PSP after YEARS. Help me get up to d

I found a unit running 4.0.1m33 recently. m33 is long gone. Two modern CFW branches are Pro, and ME/LME. Install OFW 6.61 and try them out on top of that and see if your save games start working again. Occasionally an emulator will get an update, and you can look back through the last few years for ...

Re: [Help Request] L Trigger Stuck

Magnetism is not a likely cause. Remove the L trigger and see if the button underneath actuates with the trigger removed. Make sure it is still correctly aligned below the round depression on the underside of the trigger, and that the adhesive is still holding it in place. Also disconnect the ribbon...

Re: Any last hope for this innovative handheld?

Good question. Its stored in the EEPROM at offset 0x22. The eeprom seems to be updated at full charge and full discharge, but the real value lives in ram. The eeprom value gets overwriten on the next cycle unless you disconnect the cell after updating it.

Re: Any last hope for this innovative handheld?

Its still a great handheld. The game library is massive on its own, and emulating almost all of the 20th century console platforms is a nice bonus. Maintaining the PSP over time will be a problem but things aren't so bad a the moment. Spare parts are still available, even if they are china grade. Ba...

Aftermarket PSP battery internals and rebooting

I have a few Chinese aftermarket PSP batteries, and recently one of them died mid-game. The PSP would not power on from the battery, and if I powered it up from the AC adapter and inserted the battery it would charge for a moment or two, then stop, but the PSP would not run from the battery. Voltage...

Another way to load homebrew / isos on TN-V11

This approach uses the web browser in the PSP to install ISO / Homebrew in TN-V11. Essentially, you host .xpd files with pointers to the homebrew .zip or ISO. In 3.36, XPD can't load content directly into /GAME, so we download it to the TNV_54321 folder in SAVEDATA instead by using EID ddp#. Here's ...
