Possible to Downgrade or hack PS3 3.61

Hello, I have a PS3 fat (one with backward compatibility), and I updated to 3.61. I find people saying that anything above 3.56 cannot be downgraded or hacked, but at the same time, those posts were made last year. So I'm just wondering, can I hack this PS3 at all? If it's not possible, just say so....

PSPGU Cube example

Hello, well, I'm here again! Last time I was asking for some references for CubicVR, but it appears that the only ones there are are some more complex examples. So I decided to just learn the GU. I found this PSPGU reference. Now, I would just like to know if there is a simple cube example. I'm just...

CubicVR documentation?

Does anyone know where I could find the Documentation or an example for the CubicVR port to PSP? I looked at the CubicVR website but I get a 404 error whenever I try to visit the wiki or tutorials. EDIT: Also, in the hopes of not getting flamed, I did look through the doc folder and CubicVR install ...

Re: How are Development Kits for portables made?

GB specific optimization could be included in a custom C compiler as well. Since all architectures are based on the same universal Von Neumann design, it's easier to optimize the C compiler rather than creating a whole new language for each architecture. That's a waste of time, money and effort for...

Re: How are Development Kits for portables made?

I'm not talking about you. When you say "why would you do X" it actually means "why would someone do X". It's an impersonal "you". If somebody did that, it would be so that when it was broken down to machine code it could be more optimized for the system itself (Gameboy or PSP). If so, then it make...

Re: How are Development Kits for portables made?

Since we don't know what language it is, we only know that it's based of C, it would be logical to say a C based compiler. I got what you mean, but I think it would be more accurate to call it an unknown C-based language compiler. Alright, I understand know :P This thread is becoming a bit funny :l...

Re: How are Development Kits for portables made?

------ I understand what you mean, but I still am sure that I said it exactly how I meant it. I am not talking about C. I am talking about a language that is based of C. Thus the Compiler would not a be a C compiler. Since we don't know what language it is, we only know that it's based of C, it woul...
