Could'nt say it better....

Nop.... I know it sound funnny, but I didn't know there is such thing as guild wars before yesterday. I was searching for some new mana symbol for my MTGO theme... and could not find any... so I began to search alternative mana symbol googling randomly to something like "fire icon filetype:png" and found the cool icon from Guildwars... then I figured out it was a game, and decided to do a whole theme based on it.

Unfortunately I don't know very much about the game (even If I went through all the competencies in order to do the phasebar)... so I pretty much clueless how the In-Game look like and how I could do to render it on wagic.... I'm just experimenting atm...

If you have any cool idea / image source for the UI please don't hesitate to share your thoughts...

Also ATM the phasebar is using the "button" like shape of WTH with some Guild wars Competencies icon on it... I would like to do some original button shape, but don't know exactly what ATM.

Same goes for the backdrop I don't really know how the UI of Guild wars looks like so If you have source/idea be my guest.

I'm still not satisfy with the backdrop, but I personally prefer the new phasebar I made... I also prefer the title and the manaicon...

Tell me which one is your favorite that should be included in the theme...

I love this. I played GW for a little while when it first came out, and it's nice to see something so professional looking. I do like the updated version a little better, but they're both very good. The only thing I kinda dislike is the land icon... but keep up the great work! :)

Your work made me realize there's no way to display attribution in-game, so I've added support for a themeinfo.txt placed in the theme folder.

The first line of the themeinfo.txt should include your name (well, only up to 16 characters of your name... it has to fit over the theme preview). The rest of the file can contain whatever you want, as it's not used by the game (well, not unless we change that in the next day or so.). I'd recommend using it as a "readme.txt", if you'd like, where you can put notes and whatnot, but you could also just leave it mostly empty :P.

It displays your name as "Artist: Abrasax" in small white text along the bottom of the preview, about where the scroller is. This is good, as it doesn't take up extra space, but also doesn't really overlap anything important on the preview.

Like the theme but I agree that the backdrop needs work. Dont really dig the colors or look. Not sure at the moment what style you should go with but I think that needs a bit more attention. Other than that, good work.

Hi,

So I've worked a little bit this week-end on this theme, changed a few thing and added a new backdrop... even if I'm still not entirely satisfied...

Nice update :)

There's one small error involved. If you look underneath the "(your turn) Main phase" notification area, you'll sometimes see a thing line moving around. That's because you're using a 480x12 image for goldglow, wheras the system expects one around 480x20 (though it actually renders less than that, because we cut into the image to prevent a rendering error caused by bilinear image filtering). Either expand that image or just copy the file from the new "Jade" theme in SVN and everything should be fine.

Overall, nice work :) One thing you might try is thinning out the extra thick grey line around your logo text... either that, or maybe darkening it, or possibly tinting it a neutral color from the title (very light pale yellow, maybe?). Is it is, it kinda gives a "blurry" feeling to the text.

Another thing you might consider is to use the "shop_aliasing.png" as a way of tinting the cards to match the shop background. The aliasing image is rendered on top of the cards, so that's a perfectly acceptable use of it. We're using it in the main theme just as a way to hide the jagged edges of the cards, but that doesn't mean you have to use it that way here... though nothing's stopping you from doing both :P

Anyways, I'm glad to see the work you've put into this one. It's gratifying to see the feature put to work, and I hope that a lot of people will be building themes in the future :)
